 The Historical Society of Rockland County Is Pleased to Announce the 


6th Annual 
John T. and Mary A. Grant Rockland County 
High School Local History Conference

When: Tuesday, March 13, 2018NEW DATE: THURSDAY, MARCH 15, 2018
Where: Romano Center, St. Thomas Aquinas College, Sparkill
Admission: $FREE - By Invitation Only

This day-long gathering brings together high school history students, their advisers, and Social Studies Department chairs from the following Rockland County high schools:

  • Albertus Magnus

  • Clarkstown North

  • Clarkstown South

  • Nanuet

  • North Rockland

  • Pearl River

  • Spring Valley

  • Pearl River

  • Ramapo

  • Spring Valley
  • Suffern

  • Tappan Zee

The students will will be presenting research on various topics relating to Rockland County history

The keynote speaker at this year's conference is 
Dr. Robert C. Schelin, Professor Emeritus, St. Thomas Aquinas College.

The Historical Society of Rockland County is a nonprofit educational institution and principal repository for original documents and artifacts relating to Rockland County. Its headquarters are a four-acre site featuring a history museum and the 1832 Jacob Blauvelt House in New City, New York.
