The Historical Society of Rockland County Invites You to Join Us for a

Walk through History in
Historic Piermont
From Pangaea to Paper

When: Saturday, April 27, 2019, 10 am-12:30 pm
Where: Meeting location will be provided with a confirmed reservation
Price: $10 per person (Space is limited, and pre-paid reservations are required)


Join Richard Esnard of the Piermont Historical Society, who will lead our walking tour—first through early 19th century Bogertown, and then onto Piermont’s pier. Enjoy exceptional views while learning about this scenic village, its geological history, early Dutch inhabitants, the Revolution, World War II, and how the railroad impacted the village and the nation.

This two-mile walk is expected to take 2.5 hours and is rated at moderate difficulty. It is not suitable for children under age seven. The following additional equipment is required: water, hat, walking stick, sturdy walking sho
