Appeals: 2019 Annual Appeal

2019 Annual Appeal Image

Rockland is rich in history. Our mission—then and now—is to save and share it.

The HSRC has seen many changes over the past 54 years in Rockland County. What does not change is our gratitude for your support and our commitment to making the vibrant history of Rockland available and widely accessible.Your Annual Appeal donation helps make our work possible.

In 2019, your contribution underwrote the exhibitions “Influencers: Art & History on South Mountain Road” and “Crow House: Handmade by Henry Varnum Poor,” which won an Award for Excellence from the Greater Hudson Heritage Network. It also helped fund our monthly “Crossroads of Rockland History" radio programs on WRCR; South of the Mountains history quarterly and the “This Week in Rockland” column and e-mail newsletter; lectures, films and special events; history-themed bus trips and walking tours; the Rockland County Executive's Historic Preservation Merit Awards and John T. and Mary A. Grant Rockland High School Local History Conference; and preservation of our vast collection of artifacts, including the Jacob Blauvelt House and outbuildings, recognized as a New York State Path through History site.

This is the time of year we give thanks. Help us keep enriching your life and the life of our Rockland community.
