For this exhibition, we are celebrating the creativity of the artists, craftspersons and collectors of the miniatures, dollhouses and art that graces our museum galleries.

We are very proud to have the handmade dollhouses created over this past summer at the wonderful Rockland Center for the Arts. Given by educator Daly Flanagan and artist Andre Voumard, we will showcase pieces made by Susan Langone, Ethan Canter, Kersten Savage, Cate Ievolella, Molly Ievolella, Lily Rose Weber and Juliana Pekak. These students created these pieces for fun (maybe someday some of them will be professional artists), and we invite you to come and see how "found objects" become art! Another truly creative artist whose works will be on exhibit is Shoshana Spencer, college art student and granddaughter of Rockland artist Ned Harris -- her handmade tunnel books, diorama and drawings are colorful, whimsical, fun and creative!

In keeping with this year's celebration of creativity, we are very proud to have these talented contributors, including well-known Rocklanders:

- ceramic artist Rosemary Aiello
- artist, children's book illustrator & author  Barbara Soloff Levy
- glass & jewelry artist Stephanie Maddelena
- miniaturist & dollhouse crafter Carolyn McErlean
- miniaturist Zsuzsa Neff
- photographer Ned Harris
- photographer George Potanovic, Jr.
- illustrator William Sayles
- children's book illustrator & author Elizabeth Sayles

- mobile artist Andre Voumard

and regional contributors, including:

- room box & miniature artist Sandra Mirque
- miniaturist Tamara Greeman
- collage artist Elizabeth Parsons
- doll artist Lillian Alberti
- paper model maker & graphic designer Pierre Fontaine

We'll also have dollhouses from dollhouse collectors Caren Pane,  Michelle Lundemo, miniature collector & creator of miniature dolls Kimberly Milliard and a hand-made 'Hitty' doll by long-time HSRC member & volunteer Dorothie Flieger.

Once again this year, we'll have the beautiful quilts and art quilts made by Mary Jane Sexton, Debbie Calyo and Maria Weinstein. They, and the very talented members of their quilting guild, the Heritage Quilters of the Hudson Palisades, have also crafted a beautiful quilt which will be raffled off to benefit The Historical Society of Rockland County!

Speaking of fund-raising raffles...
The Historical Society of Rockland County will once again have their Annual Holiday Raffle -- from a lovely, large dollhouse (with beautiful furniture included), to a miniature bakery, to a drawing by artist Lisa Chow, to... come and see for yourself!

The Curator for the annual miniature, dollhouse & art exhibition is the HSRC's own Joanne Potanovic.
