Rockland Voices
May 23, 2012 —October 31, 2012

The Historical Society of Rockland County proudly presents...

Rockland Voices

on view now through October 31, 2012

The history of Rockland County is made up of many elements. Each element has its own story to tell. Together they define Rockland County and give it it's character. To learn and "listen" to these various elements is to understand the Rockland County of today.

Rockland Voices introduces five of these elements:

The Lenape
The Dutch
Treason of the Revolution
Slavery
The Nyack Turnpike and Teunis Smith

Objects from our permanent collection help tell the story that is Rockland County.

Exhibition hours:  Wednesday through Sunday, noon to 4 pm.

Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated.

The Historical Society of Rockland County gratefully acknowledges the generous support of the Provident Bank Charitable Foundation.

Special thanks to Dorice Madronero, Catherine Quinn, Marianne Leese, Clare Sheridan, Richard Anderson and Jessica Kuhnen for their help in preparing this exhibition.
