Where: HSRC History Center, 20 Zukor Road, New City
Admission:

Curated by Joanne Potanovic, this year's popular Miniature and Dollhouse Show featured two galleries of antique pedal cars, dollhouses, dolls, miniatures and other treats for the child in all of us, including:

  • Fabulous pedal cars by James Hopper of Florida, NY (formerly of Pomona)
  • Fantastic and surreal collage works by the Rockland photographer Ned Harris of New City
  • Maquettes of giant puppets from productions of Cinderella and The Prince Who Slays the Magic Dragon at Lincoln Center
  • Beautiful quilts by Mary Jane Sexton of New City
  • Handmade dolls by Pat Mott of New City

Objects on display from the HSRC Collection included original “Betty Bonnet” paper dolls from before World War I. Under the watchful gaze of Betty Bonnet and her family, children of all ages were able to create their own paperdolls and clothes using supplied templates, crayons, and colored pencils.

Not to be missed were the wonderfully crafted dollhouses and room boxes by

  • Carolyn McErlean
  • ZsuZsa Neff
  • Victoria Losicco
  • Viola Koch
  • Delia Tolz
  • Gladys Vasquez

along with the work of many other talented regional contributors.
