12th Annual Fall Festival

with Heritage of West Nyack and the Town of Clarkstown

Join the Revolution, the glorious cause! See how militia men of the American Revolutionary War lived in the 1770s. Heard's Brigade of the New Jersey Militia seejs visitors to cheer on our encampment of 18th century tents, open-fire pit cooking, militia drills, musket firing and other living history demonstrations! Maybe we will come upon the British and those Loyalists! (Revolutionary War skirmish reenactments at 1:15 pm and 2:30pm.)


  • Old-time crafts with the Historical Society of Rockland County
  • Balloony Toony Entertainment (balloon animals, face painting, glitter tattoos)
  • Live music with balladeer Thaddeus MacGregor, with Wee Jim the Limberjack
  • Horse Drawn Wagon Rides (12:30-3:30 pm)
  • Tours of the Onderdonk-Tallman-Budke and the Vanderbilt-Budke-Traphagen Houses
  • Lacemaking demonstrations by Mayra Petretti, Metropolitan Chapter IOLI, and wool and flax spinning demonstrates by Celeste Sherry
  • Pumpkin picking, decorating and painting with Horses R Us 4-H Club
  • Sheep shearing demonstrations by Fred DePaul (Demos at 12:15, 2:15, and 3:30 pm)
  • Colonial children’s games by Tom Hunt, Waterside Forge
  • "Who Was Naut Kanniff? The Story of the Witch of West Nyack,” presented by Clare Sheridan
