2025 Historic Homes & Landmarks Tour: Tappan

In 1965, the Orangetown Town Board adopted the map outlining the Tappan Historic Area. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of this important milestone, we present this Historic Homes & Landmarks Tour of Tappan in partnership with the Tappantown Historical Society.
The house tour will be a self-guided walking tour on which a number of houses and other significant buildings within the Tappan Historic Area will be open to the public. The tour both promotes this Orangetown community and its historic importance to Rockland County and announces events celebrating the 250th anniversary in 2026 of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
As a special feature of the day, Chef Beni Qosja has agreed to host tour participants for a price fixe lunch at Giulio's Restaurant, located in a beautiful Queen Anne Victorian house within the Historic Area. Lunch is $25 per person (you can choose that option when purchasing your ticket); space is limited, and the lunch option is offered on a first come, first served basis.

As a courtesy to the homeowners, please wear soft-soled shoes on the day of the tour and refrain from photography, gum chewing, eating, and drinking while on the tour.
Proceeds from the tour benefit the Historical Society of Rockland County and the Tappantown Historical Society (www.Tappantown.org). All participants will pick up their tickets at the DeWint House, 20 Livingston Street, Tappan, NY 10983, on October 4, 2025, the day of the house tour.
