Crossroads of Rockland History:
Tappan House Tour

08/18/2025

The September episode of "Crossroads of Rockland History" starts streaming on Monday, September 15, at 10 am, on all major podcast platforms and here on the HSRC website.

Tune in to the next episode of Crossroads of Rockland History, when host Clare Sheridan will welcome members of the Tappantown Historical Society to discuss the upcoming Historic Homes & Landmark Tours that will take place on October 4, 2025. In 1965, the Orangetown Town Board adopted the map outlining the Tappan Historic Area. The tour will be a commemoration of this important milestone.

The HSRC will present this Historic Homes & Landmarks Tour of Tappan in partnership with the Tappantown Historical Society. It will be a self-guided walking tour on which a number of houses and other significant buildings within the Tappan Historic Area will be open to the public. The tour both promotes this Orangetown community and its historic importance to Rockland County and will announce events celebrating the 250th anniversary in 2026 of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
